Re: Musings on Sleep in OD&D – Is it Over-Powered?
IIRC the 1e spell affects lower level HD first. So maybe that means if there are 4 kobolds in a groups of baddies, and you roll a 5, then you can maybe get one orc who is also in the group? PS: I know 4 kobolds is a ridiculously small number of kobolds :) just trying to make a point and I’m only one...

Brave Halfling! Wow. Haven’t heard that name in years. I wonder what happened to John. I remember he had a crapton of bad luck. Hope he is okay. (Sorry for the threadjack!)

Re: Mapping in PbP (or virtually in general)
Essentially using it as a virtual whiteboard? Ah cool.
I’ve seen something similar done with excel too. Interesting stuff. So many different ways! I like the oldish school method of the players mapping, but also don’t want to fuss more than a minute or two on mapping as they enter each room.

Mapping in PbP (or virtually in general)
Always intrigued by how folks do mapping for their games. In person it’s easy to look over a players shoulder. During my Skype 1e game I text folks a map of where they’ve been - one or two try to map in game. In one of the last PbP games I DMed over on Unseen Servant I would post little snippets of ...

Re: OSRIC 3.0
I'm warming to an AAC option, but only because no matter how hard I argue against it I keep losing
I might lose it with a unified save. OSRIC is my 1e, c'mon now!!
Speaking of weapons vs. AC... nobody speaks of weapons vs. AC!!

Re: OSRIC 3.0
I've played other editions, mostly 1e and earlier, and a little 5e (blame my kids). Nothing in between. But I only DM 1e. I didn't realize until I played OD&D with a couple guys at another forum that I DM quite like someone running an OD&D game :) (RIP Holy Schmidt, my OD&D cleric who made it to sec...

Re: OSRIC 3.0
Jinkies! Lots of information there. Definitely a two-way effort between the two of the, as far as I can see. Though I'm not sure that there were any definites on AC, but the moving away from the OGL will definitely allow it to move closer to 1e - making Ronnie a happy boyo! Pretty sure the kickstart...

Re: Another PbP? MADNESS!
How crunchy is P&P? I normally hate crunch... at least anything more crunchy than the stripped down 1e that I normally DM
But I feel like I've got this in PDF form somewhere, I'll have to check.
