Re: Blackmoor Campaign pt. 10.

Very cool use of the Cave of the Unknown! The last party I ran through B2 used to joke about all the retainers they hired, whenever things got tough, their retainers almost ALWAYS ran away. Such awful bad luck on the die rolls, but they managed to survive, wisely retreating often. Thanks! I made Th...

Blackmoor Campaign pt. 10.

During our gaming session on Saturday the 27th of April we continued with the exploration of The Cave of the Unknown. All four PCs plus Abbie the Ranger and the three mercenaries from the Keep (all of whom are, by now, controlled by one of the players), were placed back where they left off last week...

Re: Another PbP? MADNESS!

It's all good. I've emailed a couple other folks, so stand by, we'll get this thing going! Like a PbP dumpster fire, it'll be something to see.... (and we've got plenty of rulesets to choose from) Sounds promising! Looking forward to playing my first ever PbP! Just out of interest (I'm not suggesti...

Re: Another PbP? MADNESS!

I can't remember, but is the P&P PDF free? I also seem to recall a quick start PDF or something. I'll check later today when I have a moment. The core rule book in PDF format is $4.99/ £3.98. I haven't been able to find a quick start PDF, though there may be one somewhere. The core rule book is sec...

Re: Another PbP? MADNESS!

How crunchy is P&P? I normally hate crunch... at least anything more crunchy than the stripped down 1e that I normally DM :D But I feel like I've got this in PDF form somewhere, I'll have to check. From what I've seen of it so far P&P is rules light. I'd say more so than a stripped down AD&D or OSR...

Re: Another PbP? MADNESS!

I've never played in a PbP before but there's a first time for everything. I'm not fussy about what to play. I guess that Sword & Wizardry would be appropriate, but we obviously don't have to just stick to that system. Have you (or anyone else for that matter) ever played in the Borderland Provinces...

Re: Pits & Perils

I've bought a copy of the main rule book in PDF from drivethrurpg, and if I like it I may buy some physical copies from Lulu. I've skimmed it so far and I am quite impressed. There's definitely some D&D in its DNA, but it also looks like its gone and done its own thing which is nice. I probably won'...

Re: New White Box 4th Printing

Yeah it's easy to spend a load of money on gaming stuff, especially when it's nice new hardbacks! Sooner or later you've got more of a collection than what you can possibly use. Pits & Perils This looks really quite good. I've checked it out online and it looks sort of like a cross between White Box...

Blackmoor Campaign pt. 9.

During our session on the 20th of April the PCs and their three henchmen (one of who was badly injured during the last session) were given the the option of continuing with their investigation into the mysterious mound in the fens, and the apparent Lizard Man lair within there. They were victorious ...

Re: New White Box 4th Printing

Thanks for putting the word out about this Merias. I have heard nothing about it at all, even though I'm on Mythmere's mailing list. I'm happy with my 3rd printing of White Box, as I am using Complete at the moment anyway. I've also got a copy of White Box FMAG in PDF. The new cover art looks nice, ...
