Re: Another PbP? MADNESS!

How crunchy is P&P? I normally hate crunch... at least anything more crunchy than the stripped down 1e that I normally DM :D But I feel like I've got this in PDF form somewhere, I'll have to check. From what I've seen of it so far P&P is rules light. I'd say more so than a stripped down AD&D or OSR...

Re: Another PbP? MADNESS!

I've never played in a PbP before but there's a first time for everything. I'm not fussy about what to play. I guess that Sword & Wizardry would be appropriate, but we obviously don't have to just stick to that system. Have you (or anyone else for that matter) ever played in the Borderland Provinces...

Re: Pits & Perils

I've bought a copy of the main rule book in PDF from drivethrurpg, and if I like it I may buy some physical copies from Lulu. I've skimmed it so far and I am quite impressed. There's definitely some D&D in its DNA, but it also looks like its gone and done its own thing which is nice. I probably won'...

Re: New White Box 4th Printing

Yeah it's easy to spend a load of money on gaming stuff, especially when it's nice new hardbacks! Sooner or later you've got more of a collection than what you can possibly use. Pits & Perils This looks really quite good. I've checked it out online and it looks sort of like a cross between White Box...

Blackmoor Campaign pt. 9.

During our session on the 20th of April the PCs and their three henchmen (one of who was badly injured during the last session) were given the the option of continuing with their investigation into the mysterious mound in the fens, and the apparent Lizard Man lair within there. They were victorious ...

Re: New White Box 4th Printing

Thanks for putting the word out about this Merias. I have heard nothing about it at all, even though I'm on Mythmere's mailing list. I'm happy with my 3rd printing of White Box, as I am using Complete at the moment anyway. I've also got a copy of White Box FMAG in PDF. The new cover art looks nice, ...

Re: What other games do you play?

And check Risus out and let me know what you think. It is deceptively simple but so much more than it looks at first glance. I've downloaded and taken a look at Risus. It reminds me of Tunnels & Trolls in its simplicity and lack of logic, but fast play and fun feel. I've also downloaded an adventur...

Re: Blackmoor Campaign pt. 8.

Yeah I'm looking forward to more too! The first adventure was pretty much just a primer to introduce them to OSR gaming - wilderness exploration with a (only small) chance for getting lost, dungeon exploration, mapping, resource management, and lethal combat (one of them was killed), along with some...

Blackmoor Campaign pt. 8.

During our session on the 6th of April the players continued their exploration of the valley on foot. They did this whilst mapping the area, something that they seem to have developed a passion for! They made their way down to the large copse of pine trees in the southern region of the valley, and b...

Re: What other games do you play?

Also, Mythic Bastionland funded in December, but I'm sure there will be an opportunity to pickup a copy. Cairn would go with this seemlessly. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/bastionland/mythic-bastionland-rpg-before-into-the-odd?ref=user_menu This looks VERY good. The problem is that it looks ...
