Re: Call of the Xul: a Whitebox adventure [OPEN]
I'm good with playing Holger. Seems like a good guy, nice enough, if a bit slow. I read over your house rules post and started reading Chapter 1, but it may take a while to get caught up through 8 chapters. Can you give me a brief synopsis of the adventure so far?

Hey Wouter, I'd be interested in joining your game. I'm new to S&W, been reading all I can as I prepare to convert my weekly game group, but I've been wanting to get in on a PBP game anyway.

Re: Getting started with S&W
I don't play old-school D&D with the old-school rules and old-school intended style. Thanks Mach for the additional perspective, although the old-school intended style is very much what I'm going for. I've adapted Wouter's tracking sheet and feel I can pretty comfortably manage time/resource manage...

Re: Getting started with S&W
That's interesting Wouter, I hadn't though of tracking that stuff myself. Do you have an example spreadsheet of what you track you could share?

Re: Getting started with S&W
Thanks for the responses. I've read through the Core and Complete rules, and Matt Finch's Old School Primer. That has been very influential in the way I run my DCC game. I'm not too concerned with the quirks of the rules. I'm comfortable with making rulings on the fly and put the enjoyment of the ga...

Getting started with S&W
Hey guys, new here. I've only gotten back into playing RPGs over the past year. Although I grew up with AD&D 2e, I knew I didn't want to go back to that, mostly remembering it as an unwieldy system full of bloat. So I tried out various systems and mostly settled on Dungeon Crawl Classics, which I've...
