Re: Alternate Treasure Determination
Thanks for the input so far. I agree, there is a certain charm in the randomness of the older D&D systems and the M&T assortments, which is something I miss in S&W. I've been toying with the idea of making up a one-roll chart with the "low value" items on the lower end of the table and "higher value...

Re: Questions about spellcasting
Welcome to the forums xChapx! A Magic-user (or Cleric) can cast one spell per combat round, up to the allowable spells per day. The allowable spells per day "resets" for the next day. In later editions of the game (DnD), it was defined as after a good night's rest (8 hours); however, as a DM, you ca...

Re: WB:FMAG Elves
I understand that, but the rules include the Thief as an option for Dwarves and Halflings (so, not a "pure" 3 LBB game), so why not Elves? Again, just wondering.

WB:FMAG Elves
So, looks like WB:FMAG elves can't be Thieves using the RAW? Obviously it's a simple matter of waving a hand and allowing it in your game; I was just curious if there was a design decision at work.

Alternate Treasure Determination
Not a huge fan of the treasure "trade out" system (not that it's a bad system). Besides using one of the systems from the original games, has anyone come up with their own version for randomly determining treasure composition? Edit: Mods - If there's a more appropriate subforum for this, feel free t...

Re: FGG PDF bundle deal
Been reading through Bill's Book of Dirty Tricks this evening. Love it!
I'm seriously considering his included house rules for S&W (0ed). They're simple and make the game a little more challenging.

Re: Rappan Athuk with S&W
Had another epic idea (or maybe the wine did...). The coastal road is supposed to lead north and south to cities/kingdoms. I'm not sure that I will be using the FGG default campaign setting, so instead, the road north leads to... Blackmoor! And the road south leads to... wait for it... Greyhawk! I t...

Re: Rappan Athuk with S&W
I've been toying with the idea of actually starting the players off the western edge of the RA wilderness map in The Keep on the Borderlands . The road that runs past the caves would meet up with the Coastal Road off the northern edge of the RA map and the river leads to Zelkor's Ferry downstream. I...
