Point of order: You did have a choice until you agreed to use the logo. ;)
Which I still don't get why you would you agree when you are free and clear per the OGL and the S&W CL...?!?

Why empower those that you owe nothing? :!:

Oh well. It is what it is.

Re: White Box: FMAG Errata and Updates

This isn't really errata but more of suggestive update. 1) Under "Spell Descriptions", is the word "Spell" really needed with entry "Spell Level"? 2) Under "Monter Descriptions", it would great if the "Move" could be placed between "Hit Dice" & "Attacks" 3) In Table 43: Monster Creation, it would ne...

Re: White Box: FMAG Errata and Updates

The more changes and the more text that is rewritten the better. You should try to decide on changes that you think are best. You should not be held back rigidly using Matt Finch's house-ruled interpretation of 0e. I don't really have the time to do a substantial change at this point. I want to fix...

Re: White Box: FMAG Errata and Updates

Change "Demon, Baalroch" to "Demon, Balor". Delete the first sentence and remove "Baalroch" references.

This is example of flavor added that I find unnecessary and obtrusive to the original D&D lore.

Re: White Box: FMAG Errata and Updates

I really don't understand the need for a "logo". As far I can tell, White Box complies with the S&W Compatibility-Statement License. (S&W White Box, 3rd printing, p. 120) The only one that might be questionable is the inclusion of "House Rules" or "Variant Rules" near the title. However, since your ...

Re: White Box: FMAG Errata and Updates

On Combat, page 36 under Step 2: Change the third bullet point from "keep turn order" to "roll initiative" On page 37, "How Initiative works", delete the word "first" from "At the beginning of the first combat round..." The above has existed from through all printings of White Box; it was first chan...

Re: Undead Turning Table

Another option is 2d6 creatures with the undead affected from lowest HD first. There would be a single turn roll regardless how many undead types present instead of "targeted" undead. This single number is compared to the target for each undead type present. A good example of "less is more". Until I...

Re: Undead Turning Table

I think having a turn effect only 2d6 undead as in Men & Magic is better but not necessarily the best playable option. ALL targeted undead is definitely not a good option. This leaves a 10th level cleric the ability to obliterate an unlimited number of the targeted type at Spectre and below. IMHO th...

Undead Turning Table

Mostly, there are only minor quibbles like the HD of the shadow being 3+3 instead of 2+2 which probably doesn’t really matter either way. However, I think it can matter in the context of the Undead Turn Table which is a major problem. If you compare 1st printing of S&W Complete and the 2nd printing,...
