I like that there is an equal chance of being royalty or a slave. It would be great fun to tackle a dungeon with the 'small' detachment of 12 soldiers.

Nice resource, seems really well done—some wonderful details, e.g., “2 cp and one dented non-weapon item”—and a fun way to incorporate backgrounds into an OD&D game. Going to have to look at this one more!

Thanks! I thought it was a fun thing to do. I don't know how balanced it is, but it was fun to make and might provide some adventure hooks.
