Milton pats Tarmo’s shoulder as he moves past him to examine the statue. Crack shot, my friend.

Tarmo sighs as he realizes he has been duped by the ref, then follows Milton into the room.

In the middle of a stone room stands hooded figure, robed in the garments of an ancient holy man or monk. In his stone hands he cups a small votive. A small flame flickers dimly lighting the statue.

Milton approaches the statue cautiously. He will examine it without touching it.

Balthar moved along with the group into the south room.

He begins looking for exits while the others are examining the statue.

Milton examines the statue. It is human sized an sits on a low pedestal. The statue is rough, evident damage from moisture over they years have left it pitted and stained. The votive in the statue's hand is carved out of stone and a small flame dances in the bowl.

Etarr prowls around the room looking for exits. The walls are dressed stone and he can feel a slight draft coming from an area on the south wall, just to the right of the statue.

Milton looks at the statue's base and behind, searching for hidden areas and whatnot. If he finds nothing he will wave his flipper over the flame to see if it is hot or some kind of magical flame. Finally, he will blow on the flame to see if he can make it flicker. He will then tell the others that he would like to extinguish the flame but wants to wait for their thoughts.

Tarmo is watching the exit, bow ready, but agrees with Milton about putting out the flame.

Milton's tiny frog hands wave over the bowl. He feels no heat but his motions cause the flame to flicker.

Looking at his companions with a mischievous grin, he quickly blows out the flame.

Silence for several seconds and then a slight rumbling as a passageway behind the statue opens.

A dark passageway continues beyond the statue. Shining a torch into it, the party can see that it extends straight southward for at least 30'.
