Milton will attack with his bow if he can.

A russet robed cultist opens the door and sticks his head out...

Arrows fly from Tarmo and MIlton! Both of Tarmo's arrows strike the cultist! One of Milton's arrows misses its mark, but the other sinks into the man's chest, finishing him off!

Balthar moves towards the partially open door...he sees the leader chanting and his voice rising higher...his spells looks to be almost at its crescendo....

OOC--gentlemen, I will be heading to Gen Con on Thur, but I will try to check the forum when I get a chance.

If Tarmo can shoot at the leader without risking hitting Balthar, he will. Otherwise, if Balthar runs in the room he'll follow.

Milton will do the same. If necessary (and the ceilings are low enough), he will hop over Balthar and strike the leader with his sword.

Balthar is near the doorway. Milton cannot hop over him because the ceiling is too low.

The door is open.

If anyone wishes to run past Balthar, they may do so.

If Tarmo can't shoot at the leader, he runs into the room and tries to lodge his axe in the leader's head!

[Simultaneous initiative]

Tarmo and Milton charge into the room. The pressure in their heads continue to grow.

Tarmo runs past a red robed cultist to chop at the black robed leader.

The red robed cultist cuts wickedly with his dagger [3 points of damage!]

The black robed priest tries to finish his spell while Tarmo swings...[2! a miss!]

The priest finishes his spell and smiles cruelly as the effigy falls to a heap on the floor.

Milton and Thorhall rush the red robed cultist...11 and 16...both hit!

The red robe man falls dead from axe and sword.

ooc--we will pause for a moment to see what Balthar's actions will be.

Balthar makes a wicked cut at the black robed priest...miss!

The tangled mess of rushes gathers itself as the priest scrambles for safety behind it. "LORD HEIMOS! GRANT YOUR SERVANT THE POWER TO VANQUISH THE UNBELIEVERS BEFORE US!"

Recap: There are two enemies in front of you...a black robed priest of Heimos (it is the milky eyed fellow you've been warned about) and a strange effigy made of rushes!

Actions?

Balthar AC15, HP 7/7
Milton AC13, HP 6/6
Tarmo AC12, HP 3/6
Thorhall AC14, HP 8/8

Tarmo does and end-run around the effigy and attacks the priest with his handaxe.

"Do we have any oil left?" he yells to Milton and Balthar.
