You are in an irregularly-shaped room. There is a pool of water in the center of the room, ringed with a border of purple-painted stones. By the lantern light you can see the water is clear and perhaps a foot deep. There is a large quantity of shattered glass in the southern part of the room.

No blood stains, but he does notice, now that he is looking more closely, that among the broken shards of glass are three unbroken bottles, complete with corks. They are clear and appear empty.

Do there appear to be corks lying in the pile of broken bottles? Does it look as if all the broken bottles might have had corks?

Finnr will pick up a bottle and look at it carefully.

Yes, there are other corks mixed in with the glass, perhaps a dozen. The bottle you examine appears to be ordinary, albeit empty.
