LOL! Is that a gas attack?
Re: The Elder Temple
Missile weapons rule this round - nice tactics! Two of the creatures advance through the doorway, a third close behind.
Dolgrim backs away and lets loose a sling stone, it flies true and hits one of the creatures square in the head with a resounding 'crack'. He drops to the floor, motionless.
Gerhard lets fly a volley of arrows, two strike the other creature and he hisses, wounded.
Oberon also sends some arrows into the fray, one hits but amazingly the creature, now with three arrows stuck in him, still advances.
Bart moves in front of Fenwick and tries to look big.
Guntram readies his flail.
Grimma readies her sword.
Actions? You are all in melee range next round (unless you flee ), you can drop your missile weapons and attack in the same round (including a half-move).
Status:
One creature is dead, two more advance into your room, one of those is wounded. There are presumably one or more persons or things in the room beyond, as you heard the yell before seeing these creatures.
Mechanics:
Initiative party 5 baddies 2
Because you won initiative and Dolgrim backed away while the creatures were still at a distance, it seemed fair that you get a free missile round before melee starts.
Dolgrim sling: 1d20+3=11+3=14 HIT 1d6=6 damage, killing one creature
Gerhard arrows: 1d20+4=15+4=19, 1d20+4=11+4=15 TWO HITS 2d6=8 damage wounding another creature
Oberon arrows: 1d20+3=16+3=19, 6+3=9 ONE HIT 1d6=1 damage wounding the same creature

Re: The Elder Temple
Dolgrim drops his sling and grabs his axe from his belt, throwing himself onto the creature that was hit by Gerhard's and Oberon's arrows before: "Let's see you still walking after you have a taste of my axe..!"

Re: The Elder Temple
Guntram will attack one of the creatures, whichever is closest.
"For the Goddess!"
"For the Goddess!"
Re: The Elder Temple
Oberon casts down his bow with a grunt and weighs in with Skull-breaker.
Re: The Elder Temple
Gerhard will sling his bow and pull out his handaxe to finish the wounded creatures.
Re: The Elder Temple
Oberon shouts over his shoulder to Gerhard as he closes to attack, 'See! I told you my old bow would work for you underground. She sings better for you than she ever did for me.'
