The night is uneventful, where to? Back to town for a bit, or more of the temple?

Edit - updated map.

Fenwick wakes and stretches. More of the temple then, chaps?

Guntram finishes praying to the Goddess. He rises and says, "Let's continue our explorations."

"Aye.." Dolgrim concurs with a mouthful of bread, which he washes down with a sip from his water skin. "Let's see what is there to be found further up north."

Oberon points North, 'Let's see if those cannibals were guarding anything of interest.'

You head north, into the room the almost-humans and cannibals emerged from to attack you.

Image

The room is long and narrow, and smells of rot and decay. There are five wooden cots scattered about this room, and a small, padlocked wooden chest against the south wall. A secret door is partially open in the northeast corner of the room. Perhaps that was the scraping you heard during the battle?

Actions?

Fenwick says, Let's check this room out first. Make sure no one is coming through it, of course, but we should see what's in that chest.

He checks under and among the beds for loose change and whatnot, and checks the chest to see how secure it is. Anyone good with locks? he asks, wishing he'd memorized knock.

The beds divulge no treasure of any sort. The chest is small and wooden, and so could certainly be smashed if the lock proves difficult. The lock is rusted iron, small but solid-looking.

Fenwick suddenly remembers the key he found yesterday!

What is that saying about finding a key in scene one? :D

Since there are no thieves in this game, picking a lock would be descriptive on your part and subject to some kind of roll.

Hey, wait a minute. What about this key? says Fenwick and tries the key he found the day before on the lock. :D
