Memphisto stops and then turns back towards the door. He says the name of the ancient wizard, "Kal-Dokk" in common and in any arcane language he knows.

As expected, Dahl's attempts are in vain: the door remains closed and the glyph brightly aglow...
I can't believe you forgot to try "Mellon" ;)
However, as the rest of the party is about to leave the room and Memphisto in a final attempt utters the words "Kal-Dokk" in the common tongue, the glow swiftly dims to a deep red and then fully disappears altogether. The magical aura dissipates with the glow, its magical charge wearing off in a matter of seconds...

Memphisto will wait until he feels the magic energy has drained from the door. Then, he will slowly pull it open.

After the magical glow has completely dimmed down, Memphisto puts his hands to the door. It is still quite warm, but the magical seal is fully broken and door opens almost effortlessly. After a short passageway, a 9 m by 6 m room opens up to the east. Other than the wooden, iron bound chest that stands at the east wall, the room appears to be empty.

Lisglen swiftly moves behind Memphisto. "Well done friend! I know you could do it!" he says, almost laughing. He then cautiously starts to look at the room -- careful not to touch anything in case deadly magic is still present -- spending a bit more time examining the chest.

Memphisto cautions everyone, "wait just a minute..." and will check the floor, walls, and ceiling for any more glyphs.

Memphisto carefully checks out the room: filthy flagstones cover the floor, just like the rooms and hallways the party passed before. Likewise, the walls are of dressed stone and slightly moist due to the cold, humid air. The ceiling is almost 3.5 m high and no different than the ceilings in the rooms already visited. No glyphs or other magical symbols are to be seen, and tapping the walls, floor and ceiling reveals no indication of any hidden cavities. The room seems perfectly safe.

Lisglen moves up to the chest. It is unlocked and he finds nothing that indicates it being trapped in any way. He carefully lifts the lid... Hundreds of silver coins sparkle within as Albin's torchlight strikes their surfaces!

Lisglen smiles at his discovery, but dispenses a word of caution: "My friends the owner of this treasure should probably be nearby, and very upset if he discovers we found it."

"In that case, we should take it with us to keep it safe for him", smiles Memphisto.

Freda's eyes widen at the sight of all that silver twinkling in the torchlight. It was certainly more than any amount ever seen back at the shire! She grins at Memphisto's suggestion.
