Chapter 6: Jodcar revisited
Re: Chapter 6: Jodcar revisited
The western passageway turns left (south) after 6 m; its walls, floor, and ceiling covered more and more with cobwebs every meter. It's hardly a dead end as Lisglen suspected, however: by Albin's torchlight the open entrance to a room can be seen 6 m up ahead, with some thick threads of web spanning the door frame.
Re: Chapter 6: Jodcar revisited
Memphisto examines the cobwebs, "Perhaps our torch will warm up any spiders, hiding among the cobwebs?"
OOC--Do you fellows want to burn the webs, if possible?

OOC: Yep, burn 'em.

"Looks like a spider's nest!" says Lisglen with a wince.

OOC: My thought is to light a second torch and toss it into the room. Thoughts?
Re: Chapter 6: Jodcar revisited
Yes, let's throw a torch in and watch the fireworks!
Re: Chapter 6: Jodcar revisited
Sounds good. Shall we have Van light the second torch and toss it in, while Freda readies her bow in case anything scurries out and Holger and I guard the rear?

Van takes his backpack of and begins rummaging through it. After a moment of searching he says, "Curses! I don't have any torches. All I have are these damned candles. I shouldn't have expected to have anything useful."
He angrily shakes his pack and then puts it back on. Van asks, "Does anyone have an extra torch?"

Re: Chapter 6: Jodcar revisited
Freda has five torches left. She takes one from her backpack and hands it over to Van: "Make it count, axeman." She says as she readies her bow and moves a few paces back through the web-covered floor, the tough strands sticking to her feet.
