Holger and Freda offer to lend a hand as Lisglen braces himself to pull open the ancient door. With joint forces the hinges crunch and creak as the door gives way: a dry, dusty gust of cold, stale air gently brushes the adventurer's faces as they stare down a 3 m wide hallway that disappears into darkness after 9 m...

Dahl will look to the ceiling and make sure nothing is lurking above, then inspect and probe the floor with his spear. If the floor seems safe, he will inch his way into the corridor cautiously (still thinking of those scratching noises Memphisto heard).
