Albin walks over with the torch held high to enlighten the cavity. Memphisto doesn't see anything that resembles a traplike device on the handle, so he decides to pull it.

A sharp click sounds from the wall near Lisglen: the 6 by 8 feet mosaic piece depicting the worshipping ritual now as a whole protrudes an ich or two from the wall. Lisglen again pushes it and this time, the piece of wall splits along the mosaics and opens inward in two pieces, resembling massive, jagged saloon doors. Behind it is a 10 feet long, 6 feet high passage and by Albin's torchlight Lisglen can just make out a room opening up after that.

Memphistosmiles, "ahhh, now we are getting somewhere."

He will rejoin the company and get ready to explore the tunnel.

Dahl, looking a little dumbfounded, walks over to the passage, ready to see where it leads.

Lisglen will let the men at arms take the lead of the exploration, and follow closely behind.

The party reassembles at the secret door. By Albin's torch the 30 by 20 feet chamber that lies beyond it is lit. Other than the chest that stands at the south wall, the room appears to be empty. The walls are again of dressed stone and the floor looks like any of the floors you passed before. There are no mosaics to be seen here.

Lisglen will look at the chest with interest, to see how easy it seems to be to open it.

When more closely inspected, the chest in fact looks to be more like a big, heavy piece of luggage: a travel trunk. It's ruggedly constructed but doesn't appear to be locked in any way. Lisglen opens it and finds a set of fair-quality travelling clothes, including a cloak and a pair of stout boots, plus a leather sack containing 400 sp and 80 gp.

Lisglen will inspect the boots more closely. "Do you reckon it to be of magical essence?" asks the cleric to Memphisto.

Memphisto examines the cloak and the boots carefully. He has no detect magic spell ready, but will still look for anything that may suggest enchantment.

"Hmmmm, I'm not sure. The boots seem of good quality, but appear mundane. I don't know about the cloak. They certainly must be important, otherwise why would someone place them in here? We must be careful, though. I have heard tell of magical items that were cursed or imbued with evil power. Perhaps we should take these with us and examine them more carefully at the Inn?"

Dahl in due diligence will double check under and behind the trunk to make sure there is nothing that suggests another hidden exit to the room. “Makes sense to take the cloak with us. Shall we divide the loot among ourselves now?”
