"Friends, this is my companion Attercop," Moonglimmer says as she walks to the large spider and chitters at it while smiling. "He has always been a reliable ally, and we owe him a huge debt this night!"

"Now, let's deal with the last wolf before Attercop's venom wears off.". Moonglimmer walks over to the paralyzed wolf and jams her spear into its throat.

Moonglimmer dispatches the second paralyzed wolf and the party watches as the spider moves forward a dozen yards. He pauses and gingerly touches the ground with several of his legs. He then chirps excitedly and dashes off on the trail of the two wolves.

Status and reminder...Moonglimmer is the only one injured (3 points off).

Roger says, still disturbed by the giant spider.

"Handy, that spider! Yes, let's follow!" Erwin says.

You leave the village of Dubbston behind and hurry to catch up with the spider. He is crawling and often jumping in great bounds, all the while chittering away.

The blood trail of the sheep is fairly easy to see at first, but soon thins out. You feel that the spider is sensing something else besides the blood trail.

Two miles of hurried travel brings the party to a dark forest. Entering in here at night would be possible for elves and dwarves, but for humans not so much.

Attercop takes their concern lightly. He glances back to Moonglimmer and chirps <<They are nearby...just a half dozen jumps...follow, elf-friend!...> and then dashes forward again.

OOC--unless you have a means of illumination, the forest is too dense to navigate for Erwin and Roger.

Actions?

Erwin takes a look into the dark forest. "I do not think it is wise to enter these woods at night," he says. "Perhaps we can follow the wolf tracks at first light."

"I will have Attercop follow and report back," Moonglimmer suggests before chittering a message to the spider.

OOC: Moonglimmer tells Attercop to follow, perhaps from above, and stay safe! Once he discovers the wolves' lair, he is to assess how large the pack is and the report back.

It is only a matter of a few more hours before the day begins to break. The sun arrives to a clearing sky and fine weather. Attercop has been to the wolf lair and back. He tells Moonglimmer that there is a den dug into the side of a hill, not more than an hour's distance...as the spider jumps, that is.

Actions?

OOC--if any are injured, they should state they are binding wounds after a battle. You would gain 1d4hp if a skilled healer with bandages, herbs, etc is present. 1d3 otherwise.

As the sun rises, Erwin eats a quick breakfast from his meager supplies. Once done, he gets ready for a trip into the forest. "Well, let's finish this, shall we?" he says to the others.
