Erwin does indeed find a fine leatherworker in town. The man will gladly repair the armor for 2 silver coins, he will need to work on it for a few hours.

Sigga grumbles when she hears about having someone repair the handaxe. She is quite capable of doing this simple task.

Farmer Truman finds a sturdy ash handle that Erwin can carve to fit the axe head.

Sigga begins the process of removing the coat of rust from the axe head and you can here her swear to herself, "By the Father's beard! This is no secondhand piece of iron! Look here!"
She holds the axe head up for the others to see. Under the layer of rust is a intricate herring bone pattern. "The smith that forged this, knew his coals very well. It is no dwarven work, of course, but a fine job nonetheless."

Sigga cleans the axe head and begins to sharpen it. The task makes her almost pleasant to be around.

"It will hold a good edge, Shrubber. Take care of it, don't lose it!"

OOC--this would be considered a fine weapon or a weapon of quality. It is perfectly balanced and quite sharp. The weapon will give the wielder +1 to hit, but it has no magical properties.

Unless anyone objects, the party will plan to travel tomorrow.

Roger is clearly excited to have some real weapons.
He practices his axe swinging with some sticks out in the field.
(His movements are wild and not very graceful)

Erwin keeps his distance from the shrubber and prepares for the journey in the morning.

Bright and early, the party leaves the village of Dubbston. Truman gives the party a small sack of apples and he and his wife and children all wave goodbye as Roger's wagon trundles westward.

The party soon passes another small village called Faring. An hour later, the village of Lentney comes in view. A sign post in the center of town shows Milltown to the west and Curling to the north. You remember being told that the north road leads to Barlow Manor, where the duke of Barlow County resides.

Heading westward, the party passes two more villages, both ringed with timber walls. The sun is low in the western sky.

Do you decide to camp in the village you just passed or continue westward? Perhaps another village is nearby or camping out may be the other option.

Actions?

"It's getting late, let's look for a spot to camp," Erwin says.

He looks for a suitable spot, not too far from the road but still hidden from view of any casual passers-by.

The party finds a wooded area near the road to make camp.

After a stew of dried meat, onions, barley, and a hunk of stale bread, the party settles down for the night.

A waxing moon rises early and the whip-poor-will sings its song.

Sigga watches the road from the woods. The farmers and travellers have all made their way to the village and the road is quiet now.

The night passes without troubles. The party has a quick meal of apples and prepares for the day's travel.

Farmers are moving along the road making their way to the village plots and pastures.

What do you do?

Unless there are any objections, let's continue on towards the Forest of Nye.

Roger says I'm ready, let's go!
He climbs on the wagon after tossing his supplies in the back.

The party loads their meager belongings into the wagon. Moonglimmer nonchalantly mentions to Roger that Attercop is napping underneath the wagon!

The spider is in fact hanging upside down, dozing peacefully attached to the underside of the wagon. Roger's horse appears ambivalent about the whole situation.

The party moves westward again on the Milltown road. A couple hours of travel brings the party to the small village of Cawfield.

The road continues westward, but another road leads through the village to the north. A large forest can be seen to the northwest. Erwin believes this is the Forest of Nye.

Actions? Do you want to...stop in the village? Continue to the west? Go into the nearest woods? Or travel on the north road?

"While it's still daylight, let's head into the forest and find Moonglimmer a bow," Erwin says.

I'm open to going anywhere, just trying to keep things moving along.
