Bizenghast: Sorceress
Image

Bizenghast suddenly becomes calm. She recalls running from, and being tortured by, the Harridans... she's been in this place before - this place of panic - terror - madness. "Why?" she whispers to herself "Why?!" She wanted to live here. Her companions said it wasn't real, but it was so peaceful, comfortable, and happy: feasts, festivals, and the like. Then again, it did seem suspicious - if not dubious - that Hobgoblins and Bugbears would be in their employ.

After making sure Susanna escaped, the Sorceress started to head toward the bridge before the caravan caught her eye. Otis is going with them? He's been captured? She wondered, confused.

Maybe she followed the Caravan to help her friend (not necessarily seeing inside the 'cage'). Maybe she followed the caravan because she wanted to live in this happy place. Maybe she followed the caravan out of jealousy for those that got to go and she couldn't.

The tiny woman follows.

Sorry everyone! Had the end of NaNoWriMo on the brain...gah!

Susanna wants to follow her friends but this may be her only chance to find out about her history...

She will go with Hadrian but with the intent to join up with the group as soon as possible! If she can still see anyone (Bizenghast?) she'll call out, "I'll come and find you!"

A really strange YA thing. (I don't normally write YA.) At least, the protagonists were young adults anyway. Set in my neighbourhood, both in the equivalent of lockdown, but without Covid. There was dungeons and dragons involved :)

Sounds interesting. Does your work have a title yet?
