Ape? What's that? Funny you should ask what the beast looks like....

That would make a helluva familiar for Alphonse!

Maybe he's is beginning to warm up to Roikos? I'd say try it again and see if he hugs aren't as violent this time.

The stairs down end in the southeast corner. Miles can see a curtain nearby, and what might be a wardrobe or cabinet.

Bow in hand, Miles will move very cautiously down the stairs.

Miles gingerly walks down the stairs, scanning for danger with every step. He descends into a windowless room. Along the southern wall is a large wardrobe, angled to create a hallway from the stair landing into the rest of the room.

Under the staircase, he sees a trapdoor in the floor on the east wall. Further along the wall is a cupboard filled with foodstuffs. In the northeast corner is a simple pallet, chest, and privacy curtain. In the center of the north wall is the door, bolted and barred from the inside.

The northwest corner matches the fireplace above (and chimney on the roof), with a comfy chair and stool sitting around a low table in front. Near the center of the room is a small round dining table with four chairs surrounding it, with a buffet across from iton the west wall.

The southwest corner has another privacy curtain, with a proper bed, chair, and chest across from the front of the wardrobe at the foot of the stairs.

Miles talks quietly to Roikos, "Let us take a moment to bind your wounds, priest."

He will help the priest if allowed. Miles has had enough battle experience to know the importance of staunching the wounds.

Afterwards, he will unbolt the door in the north wall and open the door just a crack...He believes it may lead to the outside of the tower...if this is so, he will re-bolt it.

OOC--What do you think, fellows? Should we make a search of this room and the one above? Maybe there's a clue or better yet...gold!

Assistance with binding wounds is welcome. Roikos is all about continuing the investigation/search.

Isn't Miles downstairs by himself?

Oh, Miles can unbolt and unbar the door, but it does not open.
