Cider will find a point of cover from any enemy archers. He will look for any leaders in the group and fire arrows at them first.

Ne'er has the Old Point Tavern and Mutton Shoppe ever had a scene like the one before it today. Pockets of battle, mayhem and slaughter dotted the landscape that had once been the small productive town of Riverbend. Here and there fires began and people cut a band of goblins bordered by orcs.

As the adventurers pile out of the Tavern, weapons ready and grim-faced a group of four goblins with torches and swords, piece-meal armor, gather to confront them. They are pushed along by an even more aggressive orc, manned with a giant cleaver and setting fire to a nearby carriage.

What do you all do?

Howard the Farmer

Howard shouts “well look here!” And he charges one of the goblins with his axe, intent on cleaving him at the first opportunity.

Ray Sun

Ray skips nimbly to the right to keep Howard out of his line of fire. He levels his crossbow at the marauders, draws a bead and shoots

Cider pulls back his shortbow and lets an arrow fly at the large orc leading them! A second arrow will follow this if he is able to do so.

Surprised by their sudden charge from the tavern door, the three adventurers clash against the small party.

Howard the Farmer astonishes those about him by cleaving, with a natural flair, two goblins. Both Cider and Ray Sun, miss their shots- the orc puckering a lower lip in anger to all three.

The Orc swings at Howard the Farmer and misses his eyes almost closed because of the sunlight. while one goblin attacks Cider and hits for 5 points of damage. The other remaining goblin hits Ray Sun doing 2 points of damage.

C'ang comes in, blood with a whole world of crud on him, and slices the orc, with a strange level of hate and bile, spitting in his face. The orc teeters but does not fall.

Orc injured but remaining. 2 goblins left uninjured. Cang is with the party.

What do you do? Cider and Ray have taken some serious damage.

What does the party do?

Cider gasps in pain at the wound!

Getting killed is not on his agenda for the day. If Cider can disengage from any combatant without drawing an attack, he will do so, and then find a place to hide (using his hobbit stealth). Otherwise, he will draw his blade and stab at the nasty goblins in front of him!

Ray Sun

Teeth grit against the pain, Ray attempts to withdraw to higher ground or behind cover. Once there, he'll reload his bow and try to pick off anything attacking Howard or Cider.
