Funny that Otto goes before Wennic! Those 3HTKs have to be tempting for the DM
Reminds me of Holy Schmidt I, the OD&D cleric with 1 HP that made it to second level - for about 10 minutes of game time.

We still don't have a thief, right? Guess the cleric is up!
Avoiding the puddles, Schmidt walks closer to the balcony, keeping his eyes on the ceiling and stairway. I want to get a better look to see what's up, up there.

With the help of Wennic's lantern, he can see the ceiling is about 25' above, and has numerous small cracks in it. The puddles are below some of them, so maybe the puddles are leaks from the ceiling. He can see the podium on the balcony above, but nothing else.

Cedric moves towards the stairs and take a few steps up, listening for any more bugs.

The stairs are circular and wooden, with metal rails going up. They creak a bit when he steps on the them, but they seem sturdy enough. He does not hear anything above.

Berthold inspects the statues. Looking for anything that might give a clue as to who or what they are.

The statues are stone, quite well constructed, and have lettering on their stone bases. The one holding a wand out menacingly reads "POX THE MIGHTY", while the one with its hands up as if casting a spell reads "POX THE MUNIFICENT"

Bonner helps Wemic in checking the pews

Bonner and Wennic examine the pews, which are wood with curved backs and metal arm rests. Under the one closest to the north door, Wennic's lantern reflects off of something metal wedged in the forward seat leg - a brass skeleton key!

Assuming (hopefully!) Bonner reaching for the skeleton key is uneventful, Bel'xor will head to join Cedric on his way up the stairs and beckon Wennic to follow them.
