I was going through my old files and I found this brief history of WB that I threw together that was based off the previous thread on these boards. I thought it could be useful having it all together like this for future reference. If anyone finds any errors with this, please let me know and I'll update it.The History of S&W WhiteBoxJune 3, 2008
Matt makes a post that appears to announce S&W and includes a link to a player’s section only draft. Finarvyn (Marv Breig) jumps right in with feedback.http://odd74.proboards.com/thread/3744/white-box-supp-retro-cloneJune 13, 2008
Mythmere (Matt Finch) makes a post about what will become Swords & Wizardry Core and WhiteBox. It is suggested that maybe someone else should take on WhiteBox, so Matt can focus on Core. It is mentioned by Finarvyn that it appears Matt’s passion is with Core and that he was only doing WB for fans of that version. Finarvyn (Marv Breig) is mentioned to be the person to take over WB.http://web.archive.org/web/20080615125625/http://www.swordsandwizardry.com/blog/?p=10June 14, 2008
The very next day, Matt announces that Marv is the new head of the WB project.http://odd74.proboards.com/thread/3737/wb-all-hail-finarvynJan 22, 2009

-Note: Marv was removed as a copyright holder. Otherwise this printing looks the same as the second print. I'm not sure how long this was available but I do recall it wasn't very long (maybe a month or two?). November 25, 2010
About 11 months later, the third printing is published by Mythmere Games. Byline: Marv Breig. Copyright 2008-2011: Matthew J. Finch
-Note: on the same day, Mythmere and Brave Halfling released a third print PDF.
From the 1st print to the final 3rd print by Mythmere, timeline was 1 year and 10 months.
There was a dust up around this time between Matt, Marv and Brave Halfling, that was resolved in January 2011. Most info was deleted but this thread still exists that explains the resolution: http://odd74.proboards.com/thread/5191/all-quiet-again-on-frontUnofficial February 19, 2015
