Memphisto says, "Maybe some of the townsfolk have decided to try their luck?"

Freda stealthily creeps up to the trap door with a wide arc and closely examines the door itself and its immediate surroundings. She finds nothing of interest: there are no signs of anyone - or anything - having recently entered or exited the dungeon. Down the stairs the familiar damp darkness awaits.

Holger draws his longsword and together with Albin he scouts around the rest of the ruins. "Nothing, all seems clear." he says as they return.

"Shall we move in, or do we scout a little more?" asks Lisglen.

Van shrugs and says, Let's move in. Either way, something unpleasant should happen."

After being reassured that all is clear, Albin lights a torch and the party makes their way down the stairs, making sure to close the trap door behind them.

The adventurers stand at the T-intersection at the bottom of the stairs, slightly shivering with their damp clothes in the cold, dark north-south hallway. Which way to go now..?

It will suffice to name a point of interest to which you wish the party to advance (see the maps for reference). I will assume walking in marching order, careful movement, checking for traps, etc.

The party swiftly moves up north and turns right at the next junction to get to the stairs leading down to the second level.

Down the stairs the adventurers find themselves at the 9 m by 9 m room with the old, worn rug on the floor and the three pale candle stubs in the southwest corner. To the east a particularly dusty hallway leads into the dark, to the west lies a corridor covered in cobwebs, and up north is the passageway they ventured through before to find the warded room, the mosaics room, and after that the lair of the dracoharpies.

"Why not visit the west passage first? It seems to be a dead end..." proposes Lisglen.

Van shrugs in agreement.
