Dahl motions to Albin to lower the torch, then whispers to his companions, knowing the party will need to act fast. Dahl will see if the door will open quietly. If not, he will apply a little bit of force, trying to time it with the musical mumbles so that there might be some chance of not being noticed right away.

Dahl will listen at the door before trying to open it. If what’s on the other side was a store room, there may be rats or centipedes or some other, larger scavenger milling about and making noise.

“Just a broken kitchen,” Dahl mumbles to Memphisto and Lisglen. “Shall we see if there’s a dining area or store room behind this other door?”
