Re: Chapter 1: the Village of Jodcar
Using the butt of his spear as a walking stick to probe in front of him, Dahl leads the way onto the overgrown path. If there is room for two on the path, he will suggest Albin keep ahead with him, while Holger and Finnur march in the rear. As he is focused on the way directly in front of him, Dahl ...

Re: Chapter 1: the Village of Jodcar
Dahl Kolla nods at Lislgen, then reaches out his gauntleted hand to gently grasp Memphisto’s shoulder. “I am here, my friend. I am ready now.” Dahl stares at the young apprentices for a bit, then looks at Holger. A rather grim “Yes” is all he says before turning back to his mates with a grin only t...

Re: Chapter 1: the Village of Jodcar
With a bit of a dumb twinkle in his eye, Dahl returns Lisglen’s smile. “Truly, you are a wiser man than I!”
. . .
And meanwhile, Dahl stands ready with a gp or two, should his coin be needed for Giles to remember more.

Re: Chapter 1: the Village of Jodcar
Dahl Kolla lets out a hearty laugh. When the drinks arrive, he will again make a toast “To mules to haul our treasure!” When there is a quiet moment, he will suggest, “Before we go, I should like to discuss with Giles the catacombs and what else might possibly lie beyond the trapdoor. He may have h...

Re: Chapter 1: the Village of Jodcar
Dahl Kolla raises his mug, grins, and toasts, “To good fortune!” “Albin and Finnur may well prove more trouble than they are worth, but let us wait till morning to pass judgment. Sober, they may seem more capable. As for shares, I wish not to offend Holgar. Shall we start, then, by offering a half ...

Re: From Peasant to King and Everything In Between
Nice resource, seems really well done—some wonderful details, e.g., “2 cp and one dented non-weapon item”—and a fun way to incorporate backgrounds into an OD&D game. Going to have to look at this one more!

Re: Chapter 1: the Village of Jodcar
Dahl Kolla bows his head in appreciation and takes a seat at the table. “You speak truly, Memphisto. Yet if we can hire but one worthy this will be an evening well spent.” Dahl Kolla pauses, listening intently as he eyes the room. “I hope the young acolyte will be joining us soon.”

Re: Chapter 1: the Village of Jodcar
Dahl Kolla will observe the men-at-arms, gauging their reactions. He is watching for one who is interested but not boisterous, a strong but humble man (and seemingly lawful, to the extent that such a thing may ‘seem’ to be). When he has his man and the opportunity affords itself, Dahl Kolla will ap...

Re: OOC chat #1
Are the members of the party known to each other? Wasn’t sure if the ‘you’ at start of chapter 1 was implying that the group together had journeyed to Jodcar, or if we each happened to find our separate way there.
