Re: The Wizard's Scroll Submission Thread
I have a short low-level adventure for submission. It's just text right now (no formatting) and I need to make up the map (only 7 rooms). Do you want me to send it to you for review, or just post it here?

Re: The Wizard's Scroll Submission Thread
Advertising! I've put a link to this forum in my signature over at ODD74 in hopes that like-minded individuals will check it out, join, and contribute. I love everything S&W and I think it has a lot to offer the "OD&D" crowd, but the only way to spread that is to... advertise. The more folks we can ...

Re: White Box Setting
Wanderer - OK, sounds good. We can wait on it. Merias - Yes! Exactly what I was thinking! The hooks don't necessarily have to point to anything existing in the hex descriptions; they can also include rumors and brief historical clues to inspire the referee to flesh them out or treat them as false. S...

Re: White Box Setting
Had another idea for the project, but it may be outside the scope (or perhaps it would add too much to the page count). I was thinking about a simple one-page dungeon map with a one-page key of a "Lost Library" that's full of clues to other things on the map - sort of an impetus for players to want ...

Re: White Box Setting
OK, I'll start. I assume there'll be a few castles in the grand OD&D outdoor tradition, so here's a short description for a hex containing a castle: Atop an unnatural mesa of granite looms an abandoned, crumbling castle of ebony. The structure is of unknown origin and has been there longer than anyo...

Re: White Box Setting
Sweet! Is it "anything goes" or do you want to follow a central theme? Will we be including overland adventuring rules?

Re: What Should Come Next for White Box?
So you think we should use the actual OS map? I don't think so - not sure we legally can. I think that he was just giving an example of scale based on the OS map. I would experiment with hex grid sizes; print them "digest size" and make a judgment call on map scale/size. You could of course make th...

Re: What Should Come Next for White Box?
I have two ideas. One is big, the other is small. The big one would have all terrain and be inspired by Wayne Rossi's OD&D setting PDF. The smaller one would be way smaller, like maybe 60 x 60 miles. I think the big one would work better with lots of contributors. But I doubt we could get enough. S...

Re: What Should Come Next for White Box?
Do you/we have a general theme in mind for the hexcrawl? Will it include all terrain types, or just two or three? Standard WB races and monsters? Will you accept wilderness "rules" or tables of random things (weather, hazards/set-backs, etc.)? I like Mach Front's idea of the FF-inspired monster book...
