Interesting. I like the idea of removing the bonus to hit and keeping it just as damage. I forgot that little OD&Dism. Where's that from? I know I've seen that used in DD. I've thought about removing the dexterity bonus for AC unless the wearer is using leather or no armor.

The hereditary foes and ghoul paralysis both come from chainmail, not in those exact forms but interpreted as that, but the +1 damage with magic weapons is straight from Men & Magic. Between Hereditary Foes and bonus damage with magic weapons which one do you feel is more fitting or interesting? On...

I agree. Even with OD&D-style games I want some mechanical, not just roleplay, incentive to play a class. Here's my updated Dwarf class. Like the others level limits are added back in up to level 8. I got rid of the whole 2300xp progression and simply gave the standard Fighter progression just to keep things consistent with FMAG's straight forward-ness. Is that even a word? lol. Race-as-class Halfling

Here's my updated Hobbit or Halfling. Like the Elf level limits are back in but with a max level of 8 as opposed to 4 (Fighter) or 6 (Thief). Fighter attack progression given but with slightly less HD progression. Any feedback Doug?

Doug, I've been doing some more tweaking and this is my current Elf Class. I lowered the XP to 3500. I'm even pondering the idea of going as low as 3000. Good choice, bad choice? Hey Doug,

I had a question about your house rules. Am I reading it correctly that ALL classes get the strength bonus to hit but ONLY Fighters get the bonus to damage?
