Yep, I agree. Add it in. Even if purely for the sake of legality. The Wanderer wrote:I'm not sure if we discussed this before or not.
The Quickstart only has ascending AC, but with how the license works now, we can't claim compatibility with S&W if there is no descending AC. So should we add it in? Thoughts...

Re: New Quickstart
Sample adventure looks great; it actually reminds me of my very first D&D adventure (minus the stirges... yuck)! I especially like all of the "coaching" text blocks - helpful and to the point. Some suggested changes: HD for goblins is listed as <1, but 1/2 for giant rats... Missing movement rates in...

Re: New Quickstart
I like "Beginners' Guide". It sounds D&D-ish and it's clear what its intended purpose is.

Re: The Wizard's Scroll Submission Thread
Some suggestions for the sample dungeon: 1. The "game room" key should be labeled in Goblin. 2. I know that this is supposed to be an example of an "ecology-less" OS dungeon, but how did the Goblins get there? Maybe have another entrance/outlet. Also, instead of secret door at the bottom of the stai...

Re: Getting started with S&W
I don't play old-school D&D with the old-school rules and old-school intended style. Thanks Mach for the additional perspective, although the old-school intended style is very much what I'm going for. I've adapted Wouter's tracking sheet and feel I can pretty comfortably manage time/resource manage...

Re: Undead Turning Table
My house rule changed turning into a saving throw for the affected undead. It meant I could eliminate the turning table altogether. Probably not a good fix for out of the box whitebox, but it makes turning drop dead simple, so to speak. ;) https://dndborderlands.blogspot.ca/2016/08/s-whitebox-house...

Re: Getting started with S&W
Book keeping is not that bad once you're used to it, and it can be simplified for sure. Here's an example of how a DM can track adventure info/resources: http://www.mad-irishman.net/pubs/MI_ADnD1eDMAdventureLog.pdf You can always make up your own "adventure log". Make a block for listing PC marching...
