Chapter 7: Vermin-infested halls
Re: Chapter 7: Vermin-infested halls
The wardrobe doors and sides are decorated with various carvings: artistically shaped curls and patterns embellish the old wood that has been corroded by the dracoharpies' acidic excrement. There is nothing about these adornments that strike Lisglen as particularly notable. The overall state of the wardrobe is rather rickety: in fact, it's a small miracle that it hasn't collapsed under the weight of the dracoharpies sitting on top of it...

I’d like to try to move the wardrobe, or if it’s rickety enough, just tear it down.
Re: Chapter 7: Vermin-infested halls
As the wardrobe looks like it only needs a firm push to collapse, Dahl puts his shoulder to the side and fiercely bumps into it...
The joints of the wardrobe crack as they give way and the unstable construction falls apart. The planks and ornamented doors fall to the floor in bits and pieces, and to everyone's surprise it turns out that the wardrobe was hiding a door behind it. This door is quite different to the doors encountered before, though. For one, it looks like it is much, much older: the wood is grey, almost stone-like in appearance, and the hinges and other metalwork are severely rusted. The design of the door is similar, yet clearly distinct: the iron bindings look different and the handle is not like the ones on the other doors. Whether or not the existence of this door was known to the old wizard Kal-Dokk himself, it is clear that it hasn't been used in a long, long time...

"Friends, looks like we have another place to explore!" suggests Lisglen.

Van looks surprised as the ancient door is revealed. He exclaims, "What is this? What kind of evil lurks beyond?"

Memphisto will examine the door for any magical knowledge.
Re: Chapter 7: Vermin-infested halls
Memphisto runs his hands along the frame and surface of the door but he detects no presence of any magic.
Re: Chapter 7: Vermin-infested halls
Lisglen looks for a way to open the door.

Re: Chapter 7: Vermin-infested halls
There is no sign of any lock, and since there is a proper handle on it it looks like - though it might take some more effort due to the hinges being so rusted - it can be opened like any other door.
Re: Chapter 7: Vermin-infested halls
Barring anyone trying to stop him, Lisglen will try to open the door.
