Alas, no dice... Balthus grabs a hold of the door handle, which turns easily, but upon pushing and pulling the door doesn't give way: it is firmly locked.

Balthus tries to listen to see if he can hear anything behind the door.

We should probably move on and try to find the key...

Balthus places his ear against the door and motions everyone to be quiet for a second... Nothing. He tries the handle one more time but the door is inevitably locked. On Lisglen's advice the party moves back to discover what can be found in the other eastbound corridor...

After 9 m the party halts at a junction. To the north a T-crossing with a westbound corridor can be seen 9 m up ahead. To the east, after another 9 m, the hallway turns north.

"North?" proposes Lisglen tersely.

"North it is", says Balthus, looking to the group for approval.

After 6 m a short passage on the left (west) leads to a closed door. Another 6 m further up north the hallway turns left and then north again. Albin's torch is almost out: "Could you spare another one, my friend? This one is almost burnt up..." He asks Memphisto.

Memphisto will hand Albin a torch.

He has four left.

Lisglen listens at the door. If he hears nothing, he will attempt to open it.
