Question: Sanity?

Post by Zorram »

Does anybody have a good sanity system that would work well with FMAG? Ive been looking around and saw many options but most would need to be tweaked to work properly. If anyone is interested I might take a stab at making a modular version (maybe a few pages long) to fit with FMAG. If someone else has a good one though it would save me some time (and sanity points  )

I know user @jcftao (John) here has come up with some simple sanity rules, hopefully he will see this and comment.

I too, have spent an inordinate amount of time trying to get sanity checks just right. I've come to the conclusion that simple is the best way to go.

Here's a link to Akratic Wizardry's take on Sanity, which I like very much. I'll try this out until something else catches my eye and then change again. :)

One thing I would add to this is some immediate effect if a San check has failed....stunned for X rounds or worse!

Also, you may want to check out Professor Dungeon Masters Youtube piece on sanity.
