Yep, I agree. Okay, I think that about covers everything except for the Fighter. I'm still going back and forth on whether I like giving the +1 AB at level 1 or being able to add strength bonuses to missile attacks. The +1 AB at level 1 seems more useful overall since a 15+ strength isn't guaranteed when rolling stats.

Alright Doug, I compiled together what I call White Box FMAG Complete adding in several advanced classes from the Omnibus along with my own version of the Assassin which I'm not totally happy with. I did add some tweaks clarifications here and there however. I also reverted the attack bonuses back to what they were just for consistency.

Looks good - now pure fighters get a little boost, which is nice. Assassins are a tough class to have in a group setting, I always thought they would be fun in a 1-on-1 game however. Never played one though.

They are indeed. I'm thinking of simply dropping the class entirely. The thief can be played just like an Assassin if he player chooses to. I may even add in a bump in backstab damage at level 3 to 3d6 and and at level 7 to 5d6. So something like this:

Level 1-2: 2d6
Level 3-4: 3d6
Level 5-6: 4d6
Level 7-8: 5d6
Level 9-10 6d6

Seems like a decent Assassin to me.

Doug, what do you think about lowering the Elf's XP to 4000 needed for 2nd level? In the Ominbus, there are a few demi-human classes one of which is the Black Widow Elves. They appear to be a Fighter/Cleric multi-class. A Fighter needs 2000xp for 2nd level while a Cleric needs 1,500xp for 2nd level. You would think then that the xp a Black Widow Elf needs for 2nd level would be 3,500. But it's actually only 3,000. So it got me thinking that maybe reducing the xp for an Elf to 4000 might be a good idea. What do you think?

I don't think it's a terrible idea, especially since the Elf race-class is nerfed a bit as far as spell casting. Probably would be ok.

How about this:

0
4,000
8,000
16,000
32,000
64,000
128,000
250,000
400,000
600,000

Just like BX. But I noticed that all other classes either from the core book or other supplements simply continue doubling the xp. So levels 8-10 would actually be:

256,000
512,000
1,024,000

So levels 1-7 would be faster but levels 8-10 would be slower.

That seems reasonable. The multiclass Elf in comparison is limited in levels but has faster spell progression, so is a decent trade-off.

Thanks for the update, Chuck. For Druids, are you assuming players would use the S&W Complete Druid spell list? Also, the age-old question about subclasses getting bonuses - do Druids get the bonus spell for WIS like Clerics do?

Hey Doug,

Excellent question. I suppose they would. As this is really just another list, among many, of house rules & tweaks for WB you can really do whatever you think seems best. I personally like some synchronicity. And yes, the druid spells from S&W complete would work well for sure.
