Chapter 2 ~ Into the Forest of Nye
Re: Chapter 2 ~ Into the Forest of Nye
Otis - Fighter
Otis manages a weak smile at Fungo's antics, and then exhales loudly as Erwin binds his wounds. Otis casts a disapproving glance at the dead boar and says

Then as he studies the carcass of the boar he says"That thing packed a mean bite. Owww. Thanks for patchin' me up."
Otis will try to secure a knife from someone to clean and prep the boar for dinner later."Can someone loan me a knife? My daddy taught me how to dress this sorta thing, he'll make a nice dinner tonight, for sure!"

If it means we eat sooner, here, says Fungo as he hands Otis the dagger Erwin leant him.
Re: Chapter 2 ~ Into the Forest of Nye
"A fine idea Otis, then let us move on," Erwin says.
ooc: I was looking back and refreshing my memory - I think we are in search of Aethelwine the holy man and hopefully from there to a Rowan tree so that Moonglimmer can finally get her bow.

Re: Chapter 2 ~ Into the Forest of Nye
The men-at-arms tell the party that blessings from Aethelwine are in order. His grove is only a short distance...
They string the boar on a stout pole and carry it along.
The party continues along a narrow forest trail. Through the gloom, light filters through ahead. The trail opens into a glade with blue skies above and sunlight. The clearing is roughly 100 yards in diameter. In the center sits a heavy timbered long house. A small garden sits nearby and also a fine persimmon tree filled with fruit.
Several people are near the front of the hut. A woman with her young daughter in her arms. A middle aged man looks to be tending to her. He has a wooden spoon and a clay vessel. The girl takes the spoon reluctantly. The mother is smiling and nodding. They thank the man and walk off into the forest.
A moment later a large owl flies from its perch on the long house. It flies in the direction of the woman and child.
The man puts away his clay pot and spoon and walks to the tree. A basket is nearby and the man is reaching for fruit using a long pole.
"Makes good wine...a bit tart...but good anyway."
"Oh, what have you there? Ol' Mosstusk...I knew that temper of yours would get the better of you..." He pauses and puts his hand on the boar's head.
"Never have I known a more unpleasant pig in all my days. For a boar, he was quite a bore."
"Now then, what brings you folks to the forest?"
Actions?

Otis - FIghter
Otis nods at the man and quietly says
Otis nods at the man and quietly says
And he'll stand by, watching curiously."I'm Otis. Otis of Guyer. Nice to meet you, sir."
Re: Chapter 2 ~ Into the Forest of Nye
Fungo peeks from behind one of his taller companions. He says nothing but lets the big-folk talk.

"Greetings Aethelwine, I am Erwin, Cleric of Silvanus. We are honored to meet you. My friends and I are in search of a Rowan tree. This fair Elf is in need of a bow," Erwin says, gesturing towards Moonglimmer, "and we hear there is no finer wood to be had for such a task."
