Gah, sorry, just saw this! Indeed - though now I'm thinking about it I very rarely roleplay cleaning off any character gear... they must get pretty ripe by later levels!

I played in a PbP a few years back (Ric, remember Steve's "Night's Dark Terror" campaign on Goblinoid?) It was a basic game, and I had a haughty but well-meaning fighter who had this OCD thing about his armor and clothing being immaculately clean and spotless, and his weapons always sharp and oiled, he was super annoying with his clean habit... fun to play.

He was super annoying. But that was an awesome campaign. I wish Steve could finish it someday.

Sounds awesome :) I’ve played with a fastidious wizard in a different game who was always using prestidigitation on himself to clean his robes, but never a fighter!
