Otis swings again, but to no avail. Moonglimmer shoots two arrows...the first flies wide. The second misses the creature and comes a hair's breadth from hitting the hobbit!

Actions from Erwin and Fungo?

Erwin strikes at the creature. His staff whistles through the air, missing the creature!

Fungo swings his sword again!

Fungo swings once again at the terror before him!
His sword slashes heavily across the creatures chest.
In spite of the heavy blow, the creature looks undamaged.

Fungo may recall that Aethelwine the Cleric gave him a weapon of quality. He said nothing about it being enchanted.

The creature leaps upon Erwin with claws clutching and teeth snapping!

Erwin feels the icy touch of the wight's hands as it rents his leather armor. The cleric feels a sharp pain as the creature's filthy claws scratch at Erwin's chest!
Erwin is overcome by an icy touch from beyond the grave. The cleric feels his lifeforce slipping away...Erwin loses 2 points of CON.

The wight slashes at Erwin again! It is a terrific gash across the cleric's chest! Erwin takes 4 points of damage.
Erwin once again feels the ebb of his lifeforce....Erwin loses 2 more points of CON and has 1 hit point remaining.
Erwin gasps for air, the darkness is closing in on him and he stands at death's door...
Actions?

"We must flee!" Moonglimmer hisses to her friends.

" We lack the magic to destroy this creature! "

The elf will prepare to fire again with her elven bow.

Erwin stumbles back as the creature strikes, he feels weak and struggles to stay on his feet. He hears Moonglimmer's admonition to flee and thinks that might be a good idea. He turns and runs the way he came!

Fungo flees

Otis says "Help me bring Erwin!" If he can, he'll try to drag/carry/pull the cleric to safety. If it's not possible, he'll reluctantly flee.

The wight rises to its feet, seeking to claim a life.
Fungo turns to run away, Erwin stumbles back a few steps, weakened.
Otis grabs Erwin by the scruff of his neck and pulls him backward.

The wight licks his parched lips, seeing an opportunity to strike at one of the retreating foes...Fungo!

Fungo feels the brush of a skeletal hand across his back. Luckily the wight can't seem to contact with the juicy hobbit flesh!

As the three heroes turn and run, a lane is opened by their passing. Standing at the end of the lane is Moonglimmer, quickly loading her bow and firing
two shots in the air!

Both strike the wight in its chest so quickly that less than a heartbeat passes between arrows!

The wight cries out with a death rattle and explodes in a cloud of black dust. Bits of charcoal pelt the party and then nothing but silence once more...
