Otis - Fighter

Otis nods in agreement. "Okay! I'll be back here, and if anything comes back here I'll stick it reaaaal good." He draws his sword and stands ready to move out.

Susanna nods agreement to everyone's suggestions, and like Otis, she makes sure she's ready.

Fungo the hobbit scampers off into the ring fort. He is confronted by an immediate decision. Left or right? He remembers that the last time he was in the ring fort, he was at the other end of the fort. The right path climbs uphill and he thinks that the right path leads to the area he met the barrow wight.

The left path stays level and curves around the left side of the fort.

Both paths are flanked by stone walls of ancient dwellings. Doorways flank the pathway, their dark openings beckon to the curious hobbit...

Fungo, do you go left or right?

OOC--there seem to be plenty of daggers, spears, shortbows, and arrows for the party. If you take something, please mark it down on your character sheet.

Fungo will head right. Perhaps the barrow wight is weaker in daytime and it is not yet dusk.

He will peek into ancient dwellings to see if there are things of interest on his way.

Fungo moves up the path to the right. He takes a peek in a doorway every now and then and finds not a bit of treasure or food! There are copious amounts of clay pottery and rough wooden furniture and an occasional rat that scuries away.

As Fungo reaches the midpoint of the path, he once again sees a narrow alleyway that leads to his left. He could continue forward moving down the backside of the sloping path or enter the alleyway and follow it to the west.

All is quiet and there's a couple hours of daylight, but the shadows are growing long.

The others follow cautiously up the slope in tow of the hobbit.

Question: Do these areas, pottery, furniture, etc look like they see frequent use, or are they disused?
