"Right, to the bridge!" Susanna repeats. She tells the others to go first and she will bring up the rear.

Otis smiles and says "We're almost there!" He'll slow his pace to keep up with the slowest runners, occasionally glancing back to see if he spots any pursuers. He'll join the others in the mad dash for the apparent safety of the well-lit town.

Bizenghast: Sorceress


The Sorceress continues to run, afraid of falling behind, huffing and puffing, "Think this village is a safe place in this strange land? I wonder if we'll be welcome there."

Attercop chirps excitedly and begins quickly stringing strands of silk between several trees at the forest edge. In no more than the time it takes for the giant spider to finish, three dark shapes come barreling out of the forest. They are dogs with long legs, dark spotted coloration, and large ears.

Two of them jump nimbly over the strands of webbing, but one yelps and collides with the webs, tearing some of it from the trees and tangling up into a sticky ball.

One of the dogs races past Attercop to pursue the fleeing party. The other stops and circles the giant spider warily, growling and baring its teeth.

It lunges at the spider, and bites the spider, creating a nasty gash to one leg. [A critical hit for 6 points of damage and Attercop's leg is injured, -1 to hit for remainder of the battle.]

Attercop chitters in pain and tries to bite the hound...but misses!

The other hound closes in on Susanna!

The group will be at the bridge in two rounds, but the hound will be on Susanna in one round!

As Erwin was in the rear with Susanna, he turns to face the hounds as they charge, staff ready.

Moonglimmer turns to see the fey dog bite her arachnine companion, stops, draws back a bronze-tipped arrow on her bow, and fires (as soon as Attercop moves clear).

Bizenghast stops, whirls, and casts Sleep at the canine closing on Susanna!

Fungo stops, spins, and looses an arrow at an oncoming doggie.

Hearing the dog so close behind her, Susanna will slow and turn to face it, drawing her mace as she does so.

seeing the approaching dog, Otis screeches to a halt and will either advance or swing at the the dog approaching Susanna (or the spider, depending on who is closer)
