Bengar relaxes his posture as the moths and lizards retreat. He nods in appreciation at Erwin's "turning" of the lizards.

The wizard points the way and the journey continues. All around you is darkness and the blackness of the open sky feels like a heavy blanket over you. You pass some buildings as you continue. Some are intact, but the broken shutters and doors hint at emptiness. Other buildings are mere ruins, the soot blackened remains a tale of past tragedy.

"Well, at last! We've made it." smiles Odimus. Nearby stands a stone barn, large doors firmly closed.

"We'll want the side door...I went through the larger doors once and it took me three months of travelling to get back! Landed on some jungle isle. The locals were a friendly sort...if you like flying squirrel people..."

Odimus reaches the side door and jerks it open. Before you is a shimmering view of a windswept grassy hillside and beyond that the ocean."

"Here's where we get out of The Ways. Hop to, or stay here with the lizards."

Odimus jumps into the doorway.
