*Thwang*thwang* goes the bowstring of Moonglimmers elven longbow, sending two arrows streaking toward the monster emerging from the pool.

"I think it's a troll!" the elf calls to her friends.

Erwin will join melee after the archers have a chance to attack.

If Bengar has a chance to load his crossbow in time, he'll let fly a quarrel toward whatever is in the pool. Otherwise, he'll try to poke it with his spear.

As soon as there's enough mass of the smelly Troll up-out of the water, Sammich takes aim and... PEW! PEW! PEW!!

Only receive half damage from 'Giant Types' (Ogres, Giants, Trolls, etc.)

Moon, Samm, Fungo, and Bengar let loose with a volley of arrows and bolts...

Moon lets fly with two arrows. One strikes true [doing 2 pts of damage].

Sammich shoots twice...one hits! [3 damage]

Fungo fires a couple arrows...but they both miss!

Bengar manages to get a crossbow bolt loaded and fired....but has no luck hitting the creature.

The creature roars in pain as Susanna rushes forward to strike it with her mace! She gets a glancing blow [2 damage].

Otis drives his halberd downward with all his might....and lands a CRITICAL blow! [9 damage!]

Erwin clubs at the beast...but misses.

The creature roars again and ducks back down into the pool, splashing and scrambling to escape the deadly onslaught.

[One attack per melee combatant...Erwin gets a hit [2 damage] but the others miss.

All is quiet as the water in the pool becomes still again.

Actions?

"Flee the cave! Box it in! Has anyone seen any flotsam to set afire?" Moonglimmer barks excitedly.

SHOCKED! The little man is as the adventurers seem to have won a small victory in causing the creature to flee! "Well I wonder just how many of those stinky, treacherous villains are in there anyway!" he pulls another arrow slightly in anticipation of the foul beast returning with friends.
