OOC--does Miles think that the north door is on ground level?

Yes. The guesstimates about height and the placement of windows and doors do not suggest a hidden level in the tower between the two floors.
(Note to self - file that idea away for use later.)
By the way, the door was both bolted and barred. I presume you put both back?
Roikos's wounds are bound, allowing recovery of d6=3 hit points.

Isn't Miles downstairs by himself?
Roikos will stay put and bind his wounds... regardless of Miles' location and/or action.

Miles bolted and barred the north door as it originally was found.
There is a trapdoor on the first floor. Miles will put his ear to it and take a listen.
OOC--shall we search the rooms (both floors)?

Jahan helps with binding Roikos's wounds if needed. He will search the room for loose objects, avoiding the cage and walking around the rug. He will then pull the rug across the floor to reveal what is under it.
"Hang on Miles, maybe let's search up here first'?, says Jahan.

If searching the room "for loose objects," tell me where he looks first.
