B1.1 - Beginnings

The door opens and a massive (by gnome standards) gnomish-looking lad steps out. He's nearly four-and-a-half feet tall, nearly a foot and a half taller than any gnome you've seen, but his face looks like a gnome's although his beard is wispy and his pointy hat doesn't fit so well. His shoulders are slumped as if he's always trying to appear shorter than he is.

He looks around for a while and then moves to head eastward when he notices you and says, 'scuse me. I have to get... um... that way.

Tor attempts grab the gnome as he passes.

"And where is that way?" he asks.

[greyarea]

Well, you guys didn't bring the catering so they're sending me, the gnomish creature says. Then looking at your faces he notices that you might not get what he meant. Um... the kitchen. I have to go there and get the pasties and drink.

Bert glances at his companions and says "Oh. Perhaps we could help you? How far is this kitchen?"

Not too far, really. Just down this hall here, um… he furrows his brows. Who exactly are you guys if you aren’t catering?

"We're catering, just new... well, most of us are catering... err new... uh new to catering."

Who are you? Tor counters.

The large gnome looks at Tor towering over him and sheepishly rubs the back of his neck. They call me Island.

Fauk whispers to Tor, "It must be a lady gnome. I heard somewhere that 'no man is an island' "

Fauk chimes in, "Yes, let us all go to the kitchen to fetch the pastries!"
