Tor muses for a moment. "Normally, I work for coin. But gems will do."
Re: B1.3 - Upstairs, Downstairs
The gnome says after taking far too long to think about it (sorry for the delay) that the Troglodytes are to the south, maybe pass the stairs to the upper level and then continue south and east. There is a large trap just as you turn east, but once you know of its presence, it is obvious where it is. There are perhaps two dozen in total, although with you having killed a few here that number will be diminished.
He says that there is also a drake rumored to be in the south. A fire breather, if the reports are correct, although he's never seen it.
Where the floors are wet, beware of oozes that like to hide there. And there was a creature that would turn their picks and shovels to rust and eat them. He isn't sure, but that creature may have gone upstairs.
He says that the rest of his crew work to the northwest of your current location. When you've killed the troglodytes, come back and they will have gems for you.
Actions?

Tor nods at the gnome's report. Turning to the Slip, he says, "A trap, huh? Looks like we'll be needing your help here. Then, with a wink he adds, "We'll be right behind you."
Tor is ready to go!

Brother Bert - Priest
Bert nods his approval. "Two dozen is a lot for us to handle all at once, I'm thinking we need a plan, and maybe some trickery to get the drop on these stinky things."
OOC: perhaps we lay a trap for these guys, or lead off with some flaming oil or something to even the odds.

Perhaps when we find this trap, we can discover how to trigger it and use it against the troggies!

Tor cautiously makes his way down the hallway toward the trap, encouraging others, especially The Slip, to investigate.
Cautiously making his way toward a trap. Hmm...quite possibly the stupidest thing I've ever said in a roleplaying game.

Slip
The Scout departs with the party toward the trap mentioned; however, knowing there are traps has put her on high alert and she keeps a keen eye on all the surfaces traveling to the known trap.
Presuming the group arrives without issue, Slip begins investigating how the trap is set-off and makes special effort not to set the trap off. She then discusses with her companions the best way to traverse the trap to keep it armed, and how we may use it to our advantage.
