Slip moves away from them immediately - forfeiting any hiding/sneaking - all the way back to the Statue room if necessary.

Bert - Priest

Bert winces at the noise, but he'll try to grab a gnome and pull him to safety if possible.

Fauk will stand guard while Bert does his gnome snatching.

Bert and Tor grab the gnomes, dragging them from the cavern. It will take a few turns to get them there — tendrils from the fungus on the ground seem to have been growing into them and grip them as you pull.

The floor is carpeted with the fungus. It is plush and cushions your steps.

Fauk stands guard. He swears he hears footsteps but cannot determine where from.

Slip flees runs back to the statue room. He gets to the door and tries the riddle solution he used before but the door doesn’t open. The door asks, Why is the grizzly’s paws always cold?

Actions?

The monastery we’re staying at has WiFi so I might be able to update stuff during this trip. Yay.

Bert - Priest

Bert nods at Tor and says "Thank you for helping me, we can't leave these poor fellows in there."

Bert won't stop until he helps retrieve every gnome or in the event we're interrupted. If the chest isn't too heavy, maybe he and Tor can carry it?

Slip doesn't bother with the door; she was just running back that direction toward that room to get away from the shrieking.

Fauk will help with the moving of the gnomes and/or carrying any chests.

Fauk goes to help Bert, and Tor who struggle with the limp bodies. The bodies are held by strands from the carpet of fungi which make them difficult to move.

Fauk feels Trebbolos shaking him by the shoulder to get his attention. The young wizard points to the northeast, where Fauk sees three giant centipedes coming to investigate the sound. They will likely be at your position in two rounds. Bert and Tor haven't seen them yet.

meanwhile...

Slip heads south, trying to escape the noise. As her sense of hearing is given some reprieve, her sense of smell is assaulted. She peeks around the corder where she sees a pair of troglodytes heading her way from the south. She can either head back north or try to get into the statue room to evade them. It's too bright in the corridor to hide (no shadows).

Actions?

Fauk 8/9
Slip 5/5
Tor 9/9
Bert 3/6
Trebb 4/4

Fauk shouts, "Centipedes coming!" and will empty out a flask of oil in front of the approaching centipedes, then he will light it with this flint and steel, hoping to catch the centipedes in a fiery trap!

Slip heads back to the group, "We've got Troglodyte Company, and with all that hollering and Shrieking, I bet they know we're here!"
Despite the shrieking and 'pinch' we're in, she tries to find shadows to hide in to either strike Centipedes or Troglodytes.
