Tor regards the mold with some interest, then follows Brother Bert's lead to follow the light.

The corridor continues to brighten with the lichen growing more along the walls as you go.

You come across a stone door to the east. It has an odd looking brass or bronze locking mechanism in the center, looking much like a face with ram’s horns. Its mouth looks like a keyhole.

The passage continues north, growing brighter purple as it does.

Actions?

Bert - Priest

Bert stares curiously at the door. "That's quite unique, for sure. I think we should check that out."

OOC: Check for traps? Bert is happy to try the door if no one else wants to give it a try.

Fauk says to Bert, "Check it out, but don't stick anything in the keyhole...except a key if we have one, of course."

Slip searches for traps on the odd door. If she perceives none, she'll check to see if it's locked; if it is, she'll try to pick the lock.

Before you can pick the lock (or attempt it) the face animates. It says:

Varying in size, but always in black
When the sun is before you, it creeps in back
It causes you no hurt and it feels no pain
Doesn’t appear in the dark and unlikely in rain

The face/door lock appears to wait for an answer.

Slip looks back at her companions...

'Mouthing' the word 'Shadow'? the Scout shrugs.

Slip answers, "Shadows."

Is this a Daily Double, Alex? What is a Shadow?
