Trebbelos wonders aloud what is in the pit and then suggests, We should leave the trap as is and go explore. If we find a lot of troglodytes then we can lure them back here maybe. Or maybe parley with them as well. I hate the idea of removing a fence before I know what it’s keeping out.

And I’m not crossing that thing without tying myself to one of you. Or a boulder over here or something. One false step and we find out what’s in the pit ourselves.

Slip

Slip nods in agreement with her companions and leaves the trap armed.

Scout, Tinkerer, and Cartographer
+ Arrows = 20
+ HP: 5
+ AC: 5
Target priority: imminent danger (self or companion), then the target most injured.
When possible, Slip will always try to retrieve previously fired arrows.

Okay, so are you crossing the trap? If so, which way? If not, where to?

Fauk cares not which direction they go.

OOC--Is there any difference between the two paths beyond the trap? Smells, sounds, etc.

There is a foul stench that seems to come from the east passage.

Brother Bert

Bert nods and dutifully (and carefully) moves forward, being careful to not trigger the trap or slip.

The party (success on > 4. 2d6 = 12) successfully navigates the trap and makes their way down the hall. The odor intensifies as you go down the hall. The cave passage opens up to a large chamber with waste and refuse mounded up along the walls. There is a step down into the cave with a putrid puddle just inside.

In the center of the cave are two troglodytes at a small fire. (Surprise d6 = 3) they haven’t noticed you.

Bert - Priest

Bert whispers "lets get em' but we need to keep them from escaping."

OOC: assuming the group charges the stinky lizard dudes, Bert will try to get in front of the other exit, blocking their escape route.

Fauk whispers, "Bert, you go block the other exit and I will run at the big lizards and chop them into bits!"
