He will listen at the door. Did we notice anyone else behind Fin and the doorman in the room during the encounter?

It is definitely not the guy who was guarding level 2.

Berthold will take the light chain if no objections. He has no interest in poison blades.

He will listen at the door. Did we notice anyone else behind Fin and the doorman in the room during the encounter?

All is quiet. You did not notice anyone, although you did not have a view of the entire room from your vantage.

Jingle skips over to the door.

"Here, let me have a look at that for you."

He checks it over for traps etc.

The door looks normal to Jungle, it opens to reveal a large room lit by a few glowing ceiling stones, about 20 feet overhead.

In the middle of the room is a circle with runes engraved in the floor around its circumference, to the southwest is a wide exit corridor, and to the west an alcove with a chair and small wooden desk within.



All is quiet. Actions?

Jingle quietly & carefully moon walks over to investigate the circle.

There should be five. And golden.

Berthold steers we’ll clear of the circle, moving counterclockwise along the wall. He peeks down the corridor and, if all is clear, will investigate the desk.

Cedric will guard the SW corridor.

Jingle quietly & carefully moon walks over to investigate the circle.

There should be five. And golden.

Jingle can see the circle is black and the runes are silver. With his limited experience as a Mage, The last time he saw writing like this was in his former master's spellbook, so he surmises he won't be able to read it without the help of a read magic spell.

Berthold steers we’ll clear of the circle, moving counterclockwise along the wall. He peeks down the corridor and, if all is clear, will investigate the desk.

The corridor is 20' wide, lit from above like the room is, and ends at a pair of doors about 40' away.

The desk is plain, with two drawers and a wooden chair. There is a quill, ink and a few blank pieces of parchment on the desk.

To the north of the desk, on the alcove floor where it meets the west wall, is a narrow black strip with silver runes written on it.
