Chapter 3: The Abandoned Lab
Re: Chapter 3: The Abandoned Lab
“Doesn’t seem like there’s anything here,” Dahl remarks as he scans the floor and ceiling for any unusual marks that may have been missed on first entering the room.
Re: Chapter 3: The Abandoned Lab
Memphisto takes a look at the brazier. He will search it for any mystical designs. Also he will look at the base of the brazier. Has it been moved lately?
Is there full in it now? Signs it has been lit recently?
After searching the brazier, Memphisto will inspect the walls and floors for signs of secret passages.

Re: Chapter 3: The Abandoned Lab
The walls, floor and ceiling, which is 3 m high, show no unusual marks, symbols or writings whatsoever.
The brazier consists of a heavy, cast iron dish, 3 m in diameter, resting on three solid cast iron feet: it is probably so heavy that it was built on the spot, not intended to be moved after. It looks like it has been used extensively for years, and judging from how scorched and charred the surface is, it is likely it used to be lit continuously. Now, the brazier remains empty, and as cold and damp as the rest of the dungeon.
Memphisto carefully examines the room for secret passages, but finds nothing out of the ordinary. The two doors are regular, unlocked doors as encountered before.

Re: Chapter 3: The Abandoned Lab
Lisglen will check if there is something to be seen in the center of the charred surface of the brazier. If not, he will suggest that the party moves on.

Re: Chapter 3: The Abandoned Lab
Memphisto is satisfied that nothing more is to be seen here.
"Do you want to go back to the east or go north through the door to the unexplored intersection?"

Re: Chapter 3: The Abandoned Lab
“Let’s see what’s to the east,” Dahl suggests in response to Memphisto’s question.
Re: Chapter 3: The Abandoned Lab
Lisglen takes a closer look at the dish of the brazier. With his finger nail he scratches off some of the residue in the center, but there is nothing of interest and it just leaves him with a dirty nail.
The party moves back through the east corridor and turns north towards the T-junction. Looking to the right (east), Van sees that after 6 m the hallway turns left (north). Dahl notices that up ahead to the north, there is a door after 6 m.

Re: Chapter 3: The Abandoned Lab
Memphisto says, "Shall we open the door?"
Re: Chapter 3: The Abandoned Lab
"Please proceed." says Lisglen to Holger, showing him the door.

Re: Chapter 3: The Abandoned Lab
Holger moves foreward and carefully tries the door to see if it is unlocked, after quickly laying his ear to the wood to listen for any sounds on the other side.
"Shall I open it?" he asks the group, if no sound can be heard.
