Holger places an ear to the door: it is cold an moist to the touch, like everything in this dark, damp dungeon. Not a sound can be heard, and Holger inspects the door more closely.
The door is of iron-bound oak, just like the other doors. There is a handle on it, and judging from the placement of the hinges on the right side it needs to be pulled to open. There is no sign of a keyhole. The humid air has taken its toll on the door, as it has swollen such that the spaces between the door and its frame are quite narrow at some points: even though he discovers no locking mechanic, Holger figures it might take some effort to pull it open.

Re: Chapter 3: The Abandoned Lab
“I say give her a try,” Dahl whispers as he readies himself, shield and spear, behind Holger.

Lisglen simply nods.

"Nothing to he heard" whispers Holger, as he breaces himself and gives the door a strong pull.
Re: Chapter 3: The Abandoned Lab
Holger pushes down on the handle and pulls... The door opens fairly easily and Albin's torch weakly lights the room that lies beyond.
This room looks quite similar to one visited before: the walls of the 12 m by 9 m chamber are covered with thousands of tesserae in shades of brown, white and ochre. Damp has affected large patches, though, and many tesserae are missing or lie in small heaps around the edge of the room. There is another door on the west side of the north wall.
In the meanwhile, Albin's torch starts to flicker and sputter a bit and its light seems to have weakened somewhat: it will probably die out pretty soon...

Van says, "Trust me, we don't want that fire to go out. I don't remember this room . . ."
Re: Chapter 3: The Abandoned Lab
Memphisto pulls another torch from his backpack and hands it to Albin.
"Let us be careful in crossing here. Remember the first room we encountered with strange designs on the wall."
Memphisto is okay with moving through here if others wish to do so.

"Nonesense!" Believing he is protected by the True Light, Lisglen enters the room boldly in order to search it.

Re: Chapter 3: The Abandoned Lab
Albin takes the torch from Memphisto and lights it with the dying one. Lisglen pushes Dahl aside and boldly strides into the room...
Whether it is the power of the True Light or the fact that they are severely damaged, the remaining pieces of the mosaics don't affect Lisglen like they did in the room they visited before at all. No sense of nausea, no feeling of anxiety. Nothing much can be made of the patterns in the mosaics: they look like a random ensemble.

Re: Chapter 3: The Abandoned Lab
Dahl follows Lisglen into the room, keeping an eye on the floor for a circular stone like the one Memphisto found in the earlier room. If no such stone is found, Dahl will inspect the eastern wall of the room for anything that might signal a secret passage.
