Yes, I agree! From the description it almost sounds like these are more like rubbish dumping grounds than actively used areas..?badams30 wrote:Question: Do these areas, pottery, furniture, etc look like they see frequent use, or are they disused?

All of the pottery and furniture has the patina of age...hundreds of years or more.
The pathway reaches its peak where the alleyway connects it. Fungo continues to the north. He sees more dwellings, many of which are collapsed. Eventually Fungo finds himself at the north end of the ring fort. A pair of monolithic stones stand guard at the entrance. The path continues around to the west side but doesn't appear to rise.
Actions?

Susanna follows Fungo, making sure to keep some distance between them, as she is a bit on the clanky side. She obviously can't see as much as he can as she's further back, but when they pause she will look around, to each side of her, scanning for any movement.

Fungo feels as if he might have tread this path before. He continues westward.

Fungo followed by the others makes his way around to the western side of the ring fort. About halfway, Fungo notices a narrow alleyway sloping upward to the east, the main path continues southward.
A distinct growling can be heard from somewhere east, echoing through the alleyway.

Re: Chapter 4 ~ Back to Beamish Hall
If Susanna is close enough to hear the growling she will pause, and try to remember if she has heard anything like it before. Her memory's not great, but usually growling=bad, so she will tuck her mace into the loop on her belt no idea actually what she has provisioned for this, but I'd rather not drop it on the ground if that's ok, and with both hands start to load her crossbow.

Fungo heads towards the growling

Erwin concentrates on the growling - does he recognize it? Even still, he advances slowly with Susanna, staff gripped tight.
